Medjugorje and Croatia

Day 1 - Flight to Croatia

Overnight flight to Dubrovnik (with one stop).

Day 2 - Arrival in Medjugorje

Upon arrival at Dubrovnik Airport, you will be greeted by your driver and transferred to Medjugorje by private car or minivan. Located in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Medjugorje has been a significant pilgrimage destination since 1981, when the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary began drawing visitors from around the world. Today, it remains a sanctuary of faith and reflection, welcoming millions of pilgrims each year. After checking in at your accommodation and enjoying dinner, we will attend the parish evening programme. The evening begins with the rosary, followed by Holy Mass, and, depending on the day, concludes with adoration.

Day 3 - Medjugorje

Operated by Marian Pilgrimages, the religious programme offers spiritual guidance, history, and insight into the shrine and the messages of Our Lady. Daily Mass at St. James Church, the spiritual heart of Medjugorje. Climb Apparition Hill (Podbrdo): Ascend to the site of Our Lady's first apparition in June 1981. Our guides will share moving stories of the early days, pausing to pray the Joyful Mysteries along the way. The Blue Cross: Spend quiet time at this sacred site of apparitions and visit the nearby former home of Vicka, one of the six visionaries. Stations of the Cross on Mount Krizevac: A challenging climb over steep, rocky terrain (sturdy shoes essential). Together, we pray the Stations of the Cross, reflecting on Jesus journey to Calvary, before reaching the summit and the large cross erected in 1933. Optional Visits: - Mothers Village: A home for orphaned and vulnerable children, founded by Fr. Slavko. - Cenacolo Community: A powerful testimony of healing and recovery from addiction through prayer and hard work. Each evening concludes with the parishs evening program, offering time for prayer, reflection, and spiritual enrichment.

Day 7 Arrival in City of Split

After breakfast, transfer from Medjugorje to the 5-star Hotel in Split, a vibrant city where modern life blends seamlessly with ancient history. The highlight of Split is Diocletians Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best-preserved Roman structures in the world. At your own pace, explore its maze of cobbled streets, where shops, cafes, and bars are beautifully integrated within the ancient ruins. For stunning views, climb the stepped alleys of the Veli Varos quarter and unwind at Vidilica, a scenic bar offering panoramic views of Split and the surrounding islands.

Day 8 - Excursion to Krka River National Park

After breakfast, join a day excursion to the breath-taking Krka River National Park, renowned for its cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear waters, and lush landscapes.

Day 9 at Leisure

Today is yours to design as you wish. You could visit the nearby UNESCO-listed town of Trogir, with its charming streets and rich history, or embark on an exciting rafting adventure on the scenic Cetina River. If you prefer a slower pace, take time to explore the hidden corners of Split, uncovering its unique blend of history and modern life. For something more active, consider a kayak tour along the crystal-clear Adriatic coastline. With so many wonderful options available, the day is full of possibilities!

Day 10 Arrival on the Island of Hvar and Guided Tour of Hvar Town

After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to Split Port, where you will board a catamaran to Hvar, the crown jewel of Croatias islands. Upon arrival, check in to the 4-star Hotel Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort, perfectly located to make the most of your stay. Hvar is a renowned destination, attracting jet-setters, celebrities, and travellers seeking Mediterranean glamor. However, its charm extends far beyond the glitzventure out to discover serene lavender fields, secluded hidden coves, and picturesque hillside vineyards that offer a more tranquil side of the island. This afternoon, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the historic center of Hvar Town. Highlights include the Cathedral of St. Stephen, the impressive Arsenal, and the Benedictine Nunnery, where resident nuns craft the world-famous agave lace, a UNESCO-protected tradition.

Day 11 - At Leisure

These two days are yours to fully enjoy the beauty and charm of Hvar at your own pace. You can choose to explore the islands highlights or simply unwind and soak in the Mediterranean atmosphere. Consider visiting the Fortress for stunning panoramic views, or indulge in a wine-tasting experience at one of Hvars renowned vineyards. If youre feeling adventurous, take a kayak to the beautiful Pakleni Islands, embark on a scenic boat trip to Vis Island, or simply relax and unwind on one of Hvars hidden coves, enjoying the sunshine and crystal-clear waters. The choice is yourswhether you seek adventure or serenity, Hvar has something for everyone.

Day 13 - Arrival on the Island of Korcula and Guided Tour of Korcula Town

After a short road transfer from Hotel Amfora to Hvar Port, enjoy a catamaran journey to the island of Korcula. Known for its medieval charm, Korcula is a beautifully preserved, walled town with a rich history and a stunning Old Town at its heart. Upon arrival, check in to the 4-star Aminess Hotel. Later, join a guided tour of Korcula Old Town, famously regarded as the birthplace of the renowned explorer and travel writer Marco Polo. Often called a "mini-Dubrovnik," Korculas narrow stone streets, impressive architecture, and captivating atmosphere promise to delight every visitor, offering a unique glimpse into this Adriatic gems fascinating past.

Day 14 Day 15 at Leisure

These two days offer the perfect opportunity to explore the beauty and flavours of the region. You can choose to join a scenic trip to Mljet Island National Park, known for its lush landscapes and serene lakes. Alternatively, indulge in a wine tasting at one of the local wineries in Korcula or the Peljeac Peninsula, renowned for its exceptional wines.

Day 16 Arrival in Dubrovnik Riviera

After breakfast and check-out, enjoy a short road transfer to Korcula Port. Board the catamaran and set off on a scenic journey to Dubrovnik, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Adriatic." Upon arrival To Gruz port, transfer to Dubrovnik or Cavtat and check-in to the 5-star Hotel, a perfect choice for those seeking luxury accommodations with amazing views.

Day 17 Guided Tour of Dubrovnik Old Town

After breakfast, transfer to Dubrovnik Old Town. As you step through the gates of Dubrovniks old city, you will be taking a step back in time, losing yourself in the grandeur and beauty of this culturally influential city. Beginning near Pile Gate, at the storied western entrance to the Old Town, your local guide will lead you to Dubrovniks most significant historical landmarks (you won't enter any churches or museums). See Large Onofrio's Fountain, Orlandos Column, Rectors Palace, and many more. The tickets for the cable car to Mount Srdj and admission to the City Walls are included.

Day 18 - at Leisure

Today, you have the freedom to be as active or as relaxed as you wish. Set sail on a scenic 3 Islands Cruise aboard a traditional wooden Karaka boat, or explore the nearby Lokrum Island for a peaceful retreat. Or simply unwind by enjoying a delicious meal and sipping on fine wine at one of the restaurants in Dubrovnik or Cavtat, as you watch the world go by.

Day 19 - Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Dubrovnik Airport for your homebound flight.
