Depart Iowa for your overnight transatlantic flight to France. As your pilgrimage begins, take time to prepare spiritually for the
days ahead, carrying with you the intentions of family and friends and anticipating the sacred places you will soon encounter.
Day 2 Monday, August 23, 2027 | Arrive in France Sanctuary of La Salette
Arrive in France and transfer by coach to the Sanctuary of La Salette, nestled high in the French Alps. In 1846, the Blessed Virgin
Mary appeared here in tears to two young shepherd children, Mlanie Calvat and Maximin Giraud. Her message called the world
to prayer, conversion, and reconciliation, and the sanctuary remains one of the most peaceful pilgrimage destinations in Europe.
Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and fresh alpine air, settle into your accommodation and enjoy time for quiet
reflection before dinner and overnight at La Salette.
Day 3 Tuesday, August 24, 2027 | La Salette Sanctuary
After breakfast, spend the day at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of La Salette. Celebrate Mass in the basilica and visit the site of the
apparition where pilgrims from around the world gather in prayer and contemplation.
The afternoon is free to explore the sanctuary grounds, the museum, and the mountain pathways surrounding the shrine. The
silence and beauty of La Salette offer a unique opportunity for spiritual renewal. In the evening, gather once more for prayer
before dinner and overnight at La Salette.
Day 4 Wednesday, August 25, 2027 | Our Lady of Laus
Following breakfast, depart for the Shrine of Our Lady of Laus in Saint-tienne-le-Laus. Here, the Virgin Mary appeared to
Benote Rencurel between 1664 and 1718, making Laus the site of the longest approved Marian apparitions in Church history.
Celebrate Mass and spend time walking through the peaceful sanctuary grounds while reflecting on the Blessed Mothers
message of mercy, reconciliation, and conversion. Later this afternoon return to La Salette for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Thursday, August 26, 2027 | La Sainte-Baume St. Mary Magdalenes Cave
After breakfast depart for La Sainte-Baume, one of the most revered Christian sites in Provence and traditionally associated with
St. Mary Magdalene. According to ancient tradition, Mary Magdalene spent the final years of her life here in prayer and solitude.
Celebrate Mass before beginning the forest pilgrimage walk leading to the grotto of St. Mary Magdalene. The peaceful
woodland pathway offers pilgrims an opportunity for prayerful reflection before arriving at the sacred cave itself. Afterwards
continue to Marseille for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Friday, August 27, 2027 | Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume & Marseille
This morning visit Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume and the magnificent Basilica of St. Mary Magdalene, home to relics believed
to belong to the saint. Celebrate Mass and enjoy time for prayer and quiet reflection.
Later return to Marseille where you will have an opportunity to explore the Old Port and discover the atmosphere of Frances
oldest city. With its Mediterranean charm, historic churches, and lively waterfront, Marseille offers a fascinating blend of faith
and culture. Dinner and overnight in Marseille.
Day 7 Saturday, August 28, 2027| Marseille & Carcassonne
Begin the day with a visit to Notre-Dame de la Garde, the great basilica overlooking Marseille and protecting the city below.
Celebrate Mass while enjoying sweeping views over the Mediterranean coastline.
After time in the historic Le Panier district, depart for Carcassonne, one of Europes finest medieval fortress cities. Walk through
its ancient streets and admire the fortified walls and towers that have stood for centuries. Dinner and overnight in Carcassonne.
Day 8 Sunday, August 29, 2027 | Carcassonne & Lourdes
Spend the morning exploring Carcassonne and visiting the Basilica of Saints Nazarius and Celsus before continuing your journey
to Lourdes.
On arrival in Lourdes, check into your hotel for three nights on a full-board basis. This world-famous sanctuary became known
after the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Bernadette Soubirous in 1858. After dinner participate in the beautiful
evening Candlelight Procession, joining thousands of pilgrims carrying candles in prayer and song. Overnight in Lourdes.
Day 9 Monday, August 30, 2027 | Lourdes Sanctuary Tour & Candlelight Procession
This morning celebrate Mass in the Sanctuary before beginning a guided walking tour following in the footsteps of St.
Bernadette. Visit the Boly Mill, her birthplace, the Cachot where her family lived during times of poverty, and the Parish Church
where she was baptised.
This afternoon there will be time for personal prayer at the Grotto of Massabielle or an opportunity to visit the baths. Following
dinner, participate once more in the moving Candlelight Procession. Overnight in Lourdes.
Day 10 Tuesday, August 31, 2027 | Lourdes Stations of the Cross & Processions
After breakfast celebrate Mass and enjoy time for quiet prayer and reflection within the sanctuary grounds. Participate in the
Blessed Sacrament Procession and the Blessing of the Sick in the Underground Basilica of St. Pius X.
In the afternoon pray the Stations of the Cross, either along the hillside route with its life-sized bronze statues or the lower
stations designed for easier access. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
Day 11 Wednesday, September 1, 2027| Lourdes Zaragoza Barcelona
After breakfast depart Lourdes and journey south across the Pyrenees into Spain. Travel to Zaragoza to visit the magnificent
Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, one of Spains most important Marian shrines. According to tradition, the Blessed Virgin Mary
appeared here to St. James the Apostle while she was still living in Jerusalem, making this the first Marian apparition in Christian
history.
Celebrate Mass and spend time before the revered statue of Our Lady of the Pillar. Continue onward to Barcelona, the vibrant
Catalonian capital on the Mediterranean coast. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.
Day 12 Thursday, September 2, 2027 | Barcelona & La Sagrada Famlia
Today explore the remarkable city of Barcelona, renowned for its unique architecture, rich Catholic heritage, and lively
atmosphere. Visit Antoni Gauds masterpiece, La Sagrada Famlia, one of the most extraordinary basilicas in the world, where
soaring columns and colourful stained glass create a breathtaking atmosphere of prayer and beauty.
Continue with a panoramic tour of the city including views of Montjuc, the Gothic Quarter, and the waterfront. There will also
be free time to enjoy Barcelonas cafs, shops, and peaceful churches before gathering for a farewell dinner. Overnight in
Barcelona.
Day 13 Friday, September 3, 2027 | Depart Barcelona
After breakfast transfer to Barcelona Airport for your return flights to DSM, bringing home cherished memories, spiritual
blessings, and the grace received throughout your pilgrimage journey.
