Daily Itinerary for the 17 September 2019
Day 1 – Tuesday, September 17
Check-in at Las Vegas airport for overnight transatlantic flight to Prague via Newark.

Day 2 – Wednesday, September 18
On arrival into Prague we will meet with our guide and driver and head directly into Prague Old Town and have a scenic motor coach introduction of the beautiful city before going to our four star hotel for lunch. After lunch we will check in and rest before dinner. Dinner and an overnight in Prague. (B.L.D)

Day 3 – Thursday, September 19
After breakfast we will attend Holy Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Victories, and see the famous statute of the Child of Prague. After mass we will have a guided tour of Prague for the Morning. Set off together to see the city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town Square, a cobbled expanse framed by Gothic and baroque townhouses and churches. View the exteriors of landmarks such as the Old Town Hall and Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, and admire the world-famous orloj (astronomical clock). Then ride a public tram up to Prague’s Castle District, home to a cluster of monasteries, breweries, and Renaissance buildings. Take in the architecture here, and absorb the bird’s-eye views over the city. Finally, head inside the walls of Prague Castle and explore the key sights. Stroll through the courtyards and tour the showpiece of medieval St. Vitus Cathedral, as well as St. George’s Basilica, as your guide charts their history. Returning to the hotel for Lunch. After lunch you will have some free time in Prague. Dinner and your last overnight in Prague. (B.L.D)

Day 4 – Friday, September 20
This morning we will have mass in the Church of Our Lady before Tyn. After mass we will have some free time to stroll around the old town of Prague before meeting back in the hotel for Lunch. After lunch we will transfer to Prague Airport for your quick 1hr flight to Krakow. On Arrival in Krakow, you will be greeted by your guide and driver and brought directly to your four star hotel to check in and have a late evening dinner. (B.L.D)

Day 5 – Saturday, September 21
Morning Walking tour of Krakow. Visit the Church of St. Florian where Blessed John Paul II began his life as a curate. We enter the Old Town, pass the Barbican and visit St. Anne’s Church and the Basilica of St. Mary to see the magnificent medieval Altar and hear the bugle call. Continue around Market Square; see the Cloth Hall, Town Hall Tower, Jagellonian University and Bishop’s Palace. Visit the Dominican Church, St. Andrew’s Church, Franciscan Church and on Wawal Hill we visit the 14th century Royal Cathedral- the coronation Church of Polish Kings- with the Royal tombs. Sigismundus Bell and the crypt- where Polish Kings and National heroes are laid to rest. It is here that Blessed John Paul II celebrated his First Mass at the altar of St. Leonard. Return to Hotel via Skalka Sanctuary where St. Stanislaus was martyred in 1079. Return to the hotel for Lunch. Afternoon drive to Lagiewniki to visit the shrine of the Divine Mercy. Visit the beautiful Basilica consecrated by Pope John- Paul II in 2002. In the convent chapel we pray before the original picture where 33-year-old Sr. Fauistina died in 1938 and where she is buried. We celebrate Mass here and recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Visit the churches, viewing tower, pastoral centre, cafeterias and shops.(B.L.D)

Day 6 – Sunday, September 22
In the morning we drive from Krakow and pass the sights of the Way of the Cross of Kalwaris Zebrzydowska and visit one of the Chapels. Continue to Wadowice to visit St. John Paul’s house, now a museum and in the nearby Church where he worshiped and we celebrate Mass. After lunch, we continue on to Auschwitz to remember “mans inhumanity to man”, with a guided tour and visit the cell of Maximillian Kolbe. Back to the hotel for dinner. (B.D)

Day 7 – Monday, September 23
Morning drive to Czestochowa and visit Jasna Gora monastery- the most important shrine in Poland. Visit the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin and see the icon of the Black Madonna where we will have mass. This hill-top monastery is home to the beloved icon of the Black Madonna. Additionally, Saint John Paul II is said to have made frequent visits to this monastery throughout his life. Tradition tells us that this icon was painted by Luke the Evangelist, discovered by St. Helen, and later enshrined. While here, you will have the opportunity to venerate not only the Holy Icon, but also many other priceless treasures that are contained within. Following your prayerful visit to the Chapel of the Black Madonna. After mass we will have lunch and later check in to our four star hotel in Czestochowa for overnight and dinner. (B.L.D)

Day 8 – Tuesday, September 24
After breakfast we drive to Niepokalanow for Mass in the Basicilia of St Mary Immaculate, Shrine of Maximillian Kolbe. After Mass we drive into Warsaw and continue on to our hotel for Lunch and check-in. After lunch we visit the Visit the Sisters of Divine Mercy in Zytnia Street. Panoramic sightseeing tour includes: St Anne’s Church and the Tomb of the unknown Soldier, The Warsaw Mermaid, Palace of Culture and Science. Krasinsky Palace, Royal Gardens, Parliament Buildings, National Opera House, Monument for the Fallen. Walk through the Old Town and see King Sigismunds Column, Royal Castle, St. John’s Cathedral, Old Market Square, the Museums and the Barbican Fortress. We will have some free time after Dinner to enjoy Warsaw old town. (B.L.D)

Day 9 – Wednesday, September 25
Morning in Warsaw. Holy Mass in the Church of St Stanislaus and visit the tomb and memorial to the martyred Fr Jerzy Popieluszko. Afternoon flight to Split from Warsaw. On arrival in Split you will be met by our team of guides and transferred to Medjugorje with a guided escort. Upon arrival in Medjugorje you will be taken to Hotel Quercus where you will check in and have dinner. Following dinner there will be an opening meeting and introduction at the shrine of Our Lady Queen of Peace. (B.D)

Day 10 – Thursday, September 26
Meet with your guides at the statue of Our Lady to walk through the vineyards, to the Hill of Apparitions (Podbrdo). Listen to the story of the first days of the apparitions and then climb, in prayer, to the site of the first apparition. There will usually be a talk by one of the Medjugorje priests on the messages of Our Lady or a meeting with one of the visionaries. In the afternoon we will visit the Blue Cross, at the base of Apparition Hill, a very place of many Apparitions of Our Lady. Late afternoon we will visit Surmanci, and visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy. (B.D)

Day 11 – Friday, September 27
Climb up the Cross Mountain (Krizevac), there we will pray the Stations of the Cross as we make our way to the summit. After we will have the opportunity to visit the Medjugorje centre of Canada, Nancy and Patrick Latta’s castle. We return for dinner, followed by the evening services at 6pm. After the evening services you are cordially invited to a free concert - An Evening of Prayer through Song - with David Parkes. (B.D)

Day 12 – Saturday, September 28
The coaches will collect you from your houses and depart for the airport for your flight home. Our transfers always include our own guides who will take excellent care of you. (B.D)
