Daily Itinerary for the 25 May 2024 Day 1 – Saturday - May 25th
Check-in at Newark for overnight flight to Dublin
Day 2 – Sunday - May 26th
Early morning arrival in Dublin and enjoy a full Irish breakfast in Mullingar
before driving across the country to Knock Attymass, where we visit the home Fr
Patrick Peyton, the Rosary Priest and enjoy a cup of tea with homemade scones.
After our visit we will continue on to Knock and check into the Knock House
hotel or similar for 2 nights. After some rest and relaxation we will have dinner in
the hotel. B,D
Day 3 – Monday - May 27th
This morning we spend in Knock, where, on 21st
August 1879, Our Blessed Lady appeared along
with St Joseph, St John, and Jesus in the form of the
Lamb of God, at the gable end of the small parish
church. Celebrate Mass in the Apparition Chapel,
followed by a tour of the shrine. This afternoon we
travel to Croagh Patrick, where St. Patrick fasted
for 40 days. On route (if time permits) a stop at
Westport B,D
Day 4 – Tuesday - May 28th
After breakfast we will depart for Galway and stop to celebrate Mass in Cong, after
Mass we will do the ‘Quiet Man Tour’. On arrival in Galway we will have a city tour
and view of the sights of Galway, such as the Cathedral, Salmon Weir, Spanish
Arch and Eyre Square. B,D
Day 5 – Wednesday - May 29th
After Mass in Galway Cathedral we depart for the Cliffs of Moher, towering 700
feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Stroll along the Cliffs to O’Briens Tower and visit
the interesting Visitor Centre. Our next stop will be the Bunratty Folk Park and
Castle Continue to Adare at and admire the picturesque thatched cottages that
line the Main Street. Drive to Killarney and on the way visit the lakes of Killarney
from Aghadoe Heights, where we have our most spectacular view of Killarney.

Day 6 – Thursday - May 30th
After breakfast we will drive the breath-taking Ring of Kerry! This must be one
of the most beautiful drives in Ireland. Mass in Killorglin, where Fr. O’Neill’s
relatives were baptized. Our next stop on the drive will be the parish Church in
Glenbeigh. B,D
Day 7 – Friday - May 31st
Before departing Killarney, we will do a Jaunting trip with the Jarvey’s through the
National Park. Drive to Gougane Barra for St. Finbarr’s Oratory for lunchtime
Mass. Following lunch we will continue to Cobh Heritage center, from where
many Irish Emmigrated to the USA. We will then proceed to Youghal for a nights
accommodation. B,D
Day 8 – Saturday - June 1st
After breakfast we will drive to Kilkenny for Mass in the Capucin Friary. Nearby,
visit the Kilkenny Design Workshops, an exhibition of Irish Design, located in
the old castle stables. After Mass we will visit the
magnificent 13th century Kilkenny Castle, seat of
the Butler family, Earls & Dukes of Ormonde. In
the afternoon we will drive to Glendalough in the
Wicklow mountains and will visit Glendalough, the
6th century monastic city of St. Kevin the place where
Christianity survived the dark ages. Drive across the
Wicklow Gap, and on to check into our hotel. Dinner
at hotel this evening. b,D
Day 9 – Sunday - June 2nd
After Breakfast this morning, we will do a short sightseeing tour of Dublin and
a visit to the Epic center in Dublin. After some free time we will go for our
Evening Meal and entertainment in the Merry Ploughboy. B,D
Day 10 – Monday - June 3rd
Transfer to Dublin airport for return flight to Newark.
