Camino de Santiago – The final 100km - In the Spirit of St. James the Apostle
The Camino de Santiago or the Way of St. James is famous the world over, this sacred Pilgrimage walk has been undertaken by millions of people, over 1000s of years. A journey that would take them to the final resting place of St. James the apostle.
With Marian Pilgrimages, our most popular walk is the last 100km of the Camino Frances in the Spirit of St. James, accompanied by a dedicated guide. Beginning in Sarria we will cover the required distance needed, on presentation of our official Camino Passport or Credencial del Peregrino, to receive your Compostela certificate.
You can choose from two different itineraries on this popular route, either the Village to Village or City Stays.
For our City Stays itinerary we will follow the ancient paths while indulging in the modern amenities of selected four and three star hotels and daily coach transfers at the beginning and end of each day’s walk. A balance between the exertions of the day and the comforts of the evening, all culminating in the celebration of the Pilgrim Mass in Santiago at noon on Sunday, all the while remaining focused on the Spirit of St. James. Also available on this itinerary is the option of our "Bite Size Camino", a selection of shorter walks, between 2.5km and 11km long for each days walk stage, designed to give those less able or willing, to take part in this wonderful Pilgrimage.
For our Village to Village itinerary we walk the same route however this time stopping and overnighting at each stop. Some say in the more authentic way. Each accommodation is hand selected and will provide a private room and bathroom, no dorms or shared washing facilities. No need to worry about your bags either as they will be transported from place to place for you.
Each and every itinerary is accompanied by a dedicated guide who wont simply point you in the direction of the path and leave you to it. They will shadow the group by car, although not a taxi service, they will be on hand at each way point for a bit of encouragement and some refreshments and if anyone needs their expertise a long the route they’ll be on hand to help.
For larger groups or Charites wishing to raise funds for a worthy, the Camino can be a great option, we can help customise our offerings to suit your groups needs whether it be different routes or needs we can help.
